I’m a big fan of Vietnamese food can never say no to a Bánh mì roll. Our son Q was unsure and getting a bit fussy and he order a standard Pad Ka Pow Thai dish as he had never tried Vietnamese cuisine before and thought he wouldn’t like it. I went ahead and ordered a bunch of different things some I had never heard of. The waiter that served us had perfect English. I was quite surprised he had no trace of Asian English in his ascent.

The food was delicious. My favorite being the pork Isan sausages or as I call them dog balls. I order these a lot in Chaing Mai, there is a little old lady who sets up around 2 o’clock across the road from Dejai garden where we used to spend a lot of time last year. Although I have only tried this style sausage a few time these where my favorite ones. We ordered some for the road as well.

The most unusual would had to of been the crispy rice sheet dish. My brain kept telling me it was pizza but it was very very different! I would order again but i’m on the fence if it was good or not. It wasn’t bad I am still just not sure.

The prices here where extremely cheap for a restaurant especially one that wasn’t a Thai restaurant. The location was good about 2 blocks from the Mekong River and the same from Wat Phra That Phanom a famous temple close by.

There is 2 parts to Sun Dragon. The main theme park & then you can catch the cable car across the ocean up the mountain. On the other side, they have a bobsled/ Roller coaster style ride that you can slide down the side of a mountain controlling the breaks of how fast you go as well as a massive Ferris-wheel which overlooks the cable cars and coastline. The bobsled ride is pretty intense and first time felt like was gonna come off because was going to fast. But I survived! I defiantly recommend it for the thrill seeker.

Price

When given the chance to go look at a cruise there were so many options. One stuck out for us being party animals a party cruise what else ??

Room

From the minute we stepped onto the boat we were surprised at the luxury. We actually asked is this really our room? The price was quite high for Vietnam, but all the cruises are around the same and are inclusive of food onboard. We were happy to be surrounded by a younger crowd rather than a floating retirement village and after the briefing headed to the bar. We stocked up on beers about 12 to be precise as we temporally anchored.

Canoe Trip

We then got some canoes from a floating dock and filled it with about 10 beers left for me and Luna for the adventure though some caves and through absolutely breathe taking views. Once we returned we done about an hour of beer yoga then retired to the spa.

The facility’s on Oasis Bay’s Boat

The boat had 2 spas one being I think a 12 or 14 seater inside and a smaller one on the front of the ship. During the day after a beautiful cruise through the limestone coast we pulled up anchor and they inflated a massive floating trampoline on the ocean. They also encouraged us to climb to the top of the ship and jump into the ocean if we desired.

Drinks Menu

They asked politely that if anybody bought any alcoholic drinks on with them that they did not consume them on board. The menu was about double the price of onshore yet we are talking about $2 beers. My entire bill was around A$65 for 2 people. The receipts below you can see what we consumed 🙂
